Coaching Information & Resources

Coaches are an integral part of our game. They provide knowledge, guidance, enthusiasm, and direction to groups of players that wish to perform better as a team; or to individual players as a means of personal skill development. In many ways, they take on the role of a manager and mentor rolled into one.

The NQTA recognise the value of coaches to the long-term viability of our sport, especially at the representative level, and hold a number of accredited courses throughout the year to enable interested persons to receive coach education.

Coaching, of course, is not just limited to those wishing to enter the representative arena, and coaches that can pass along the required skills to grass roots players are as, if not more so, important than those coaches that have gone onto the next level.

The first step in gaining a coaching qualification is attending an accredited course.
