NTL's Men's 45 Showcase the Burdekin
The Cyclones Men's 45's proved a hit in the Burdekin over the weekend, conducting a skills session for local players on the Saturday, as part of the group's NTL training camp.
Cyclone's Men's 45 player (& Cyclones B14 coach) Eddie Pardon, was in his element, putting the kids through their paces in a series of drills designed to sharpen the player's passing, rollball, dummy half, and draw & pass skills.
"Burdekin Touch were kind enough to host us for the weekend, so the players were more than keen to give back by running a skills session for the local players" said Cyclones M45's coach, Pete Shefford.
"It was great to see children, and parents, join in the activities - and the feedback from respondents after the session was extremely positive." said Shefford
According to Burdekin Touch President, Bruce Johnson, a number of local coaches were also among those watching on, and took some great tips away to use with their own teams.
Cyclones M45's would like to extend their thanks to Bruce Johnson & Burdekin Touch for the use of their facilities over the weekend, and also referee Michael Littlefield and the players that came along for a trial match on Sunday afternoon.
