At the NQTA AGM/GCM, held on Saturday, it was decided that between now and March 2016, NQ Touch will send representative teams to specific events.
Events are as follows:
North Queensland will not be sending teams to Queensland Opens/Senior State - October 2015 - Brisbane if this event does go ahead
The reason for not attending State every year is basically the cost factor expected of players and officials and where in the past NQ Touch has been able to heavily subsidized players and officials, due to the loss of government funding that assisted with meeting commitments in other areas of operation of the sport in this region the same amount of subsidy for representative players will now not be available.
NQ will support the Opens/Senior State event in the year of the Origin Series.
It is intended to call for expression of interest for the coaching position of the following events and divisions:
Coaches appointed to the NYC teams and the T-League teams will be appointed from date of appointment until the 1st April, 2017. That is those positions will be basically a 2 year appointment.
It need to be noted that as per NQ's Technical policy re-coaching NQ representative teams, all persons who wish to be considered for these positions must have completed or are capable of completing prior to 1st August, 2015 the six hour TFA Talent Coaching Course.
